Event Details

Join the Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT) and the Macsherry Library on a kid-friendly discovery hike at Otter Creek Preserve and Nature Trail. Then, stop at the wetland overlook for a book reading of “Little Otter Learns to Swim” by Artie Knapp and illustrated by Guy Hobbs. This book takes kids on an entertaining journey following a baby river otter that learns to swim, dive, and play in its natural habitat, like the wetlands at Otter Creek Preserve. Each family will be able to take home their very own copy of this children’s book, provided by EagleShoppe & 1000 Islands 40 Acres Clothing Co.

This KidsTrek is free and open to the public. Snacks and refreshments provided. Register in advance to reserve your copy of the book (limited to the first 30 families) by emailing treks@tilandtrust.org, calling the TILT office at 315-686-5345, or visiting www.tilandtrust.org
