The Alexandria Bay Chamber of Commerce will not host the annual Village-Wide Easter Egg Hunt at the Alexandria Central School on April 3 this year.
The annual hunt has grown over the past few years to a number that exceeds the legal outdoor capacity limit and our ability to enforce social distancing guidelines. While we are thrilled that so many families attend, we do not want to turn any family away from this event or risk anyone’s safety.
In lieu of the village-wide hunt, the chamber is partnering with the Alexandria Central School to offer students the opportunity to hunt eggs and celebrate Easter IN CLASS this year.
We will supply each grade (Pre-K through 6) with an in-class hunt of their own! This will include thousands of pre-stuffed eggs and individual Easter bags that will be decorated during class the week of the hunt.
Our goal is to provide Easter festivities that parents, students, and faculty can all feel safe participating in despite the hardship we have all faced this year.
